Daniel Alfredsson (concussion) is "hopeful" that he will be ready to play on Monday night in Game 6 against the New York Rangers. "We're obviously going to wait until (Monday), but the way the last two days felt, I'm encouraged," he said after skating in the team's optional practice on Sunday. Alfredsson wanted to return back in Game 3, but he suffered a setback in his recovery from a concussion. His return in front of what should be a vocal Ottawa crowd would certainly be big for the team and he could help the Senators' power play, which has scored a mere two goals on 19 opportunities in the series.
