Daniel Alfreddson likley won't get the chance to play against his former team Saturday. Alfredsson is making progress in his recovery from a groin pull but the Wings won't take any chances with him to avoid re-injury. It's too bad, because we're sure Alfie would have liked to avenge the Red Wings' October 23rd loss to his former club. Barring a setback, Alfredsson should be able to return Wednesday against the Bruins.
