Danault picked up an assist and went plus-1 -- but also lost all six of his faceoffs -- in Thursday's season-opening win against Buffalo.

Although Danault is far from a high-profile player, he does have pedigree as a 2011 first-rounder and is still only 23 years old. He's serving in bottom-six duty for now, but if he can find ways to keep appearing on the scoresheet, there's room to move up the ranks of Montreal's forwards. For now, most fantasy owners should simply monitor his progress.
