Craig Anderson didn't suit up in Wednesday's preseason game against Montreal as a precaution. Coach Paul MacLean called the ailment a minor "camp issue" and said that Anderson likely would've played had it been a regular-season match. The Ottawa goaltender denied that his ankle was giving him difficulty again. "This is just basic training camp - you get pushed through the ringer a few times, things start to get sore, you just want to make sure you don't take it too far," he said. The Senators would like Anderson to play in at least one exhibition game prior to the start of the regular season.
