The first-year NHLer pocketed up his first career goal midway through the second period, pouncing on a Dallas turnover and leaning into a wrist shot to give Columbus a 2-1 lead. The goal held up as the eventual game-winner for Hofmann, who also assisted on Oliver Bjorkstrand's goal in the opening period. The 28-year-old Hofmann has three points and four PIM in his first six games as a Blue Jacket.
