Connolly (lower body) has begun some light skating on his own but still isn't considered close to a return, Erik Erlendsson of the Tampa Tribune reports. Connolly originally suffered the injury Oct. 25 against the Jets and was considered week-to-week. He has seen very limited time in the NHL the past two seasons, spending most of the 2013-14 campaign at AHL Syracuse, where he scored 21 goals and 36 assists. So far this season, the 22-year-old winger has scored two goals and no assists over eight games.
