Colorado coach Patrick Roy wanted to give P. A. Parenteau some time off Monday. Parenteau was a healthy scratch against Dallas, which led to trade speculation and a report of a rejected trade offer by Montreal. However, Roy said he simply wanted to give Parenteau a break after the winger came back three weeks earlier than expected from a knee injury. "We (will) have three games in four nights," the Colorado bench boss explained. "It's a demanding schedule, so we'll do the same thing with P.A. that we did with Alex (Tanguay)." He has nine goals and 25 points in 41 games this season.
