Cody Hodgson picked up an assist in regulation and he scored the only goal in the shootout to help Buffalo defeat Washington 2-1 on Sunday. He assisted on Tyler Ennis' power-play marker late in the first period. Hodgson was playing in his first game since Dec. 19 because of a hand/wrist injury. He has 20 points in 34 games.
