Coach Todd McLellan said Friday that Thornton (shoulder) is probable to play in Saturday's game against the Blues, David Pollak of the San Jose Mercury News reports. A collision with the Ducks' Clayton Stoner forced Thornton out of Wednesday's game with an apparent shoulder injury, but the veteran center was back at practice two days later to alleviate any concerns. McLellan said that Thornton felt even better than the Sharks had anticipated Friday, allowing him to be bullish about his availability for Saturday's game. Thornton has not missed a game due to injury since the 2009-10 season.
