Coach Randy Carlyle said Winnik (head/neck) is fine following Thursday's game in which he was stretchered off the ice, Jonas Siegel of TSN 1050 reports. Winnik was reportedly conscious and moving his fingers, and later was walking around and didn't need a trip to the hospital. The fact that coach Randy Carlyle labeled him as fine is encouraging, but his status still should be monitored over the next few days.
