Coach Paul Maurice said Halischuk (foot) is progressing closer to a return, Ken Wiebe of the Winnipeg Sun reports. Maurice confirmed that Halischuk suffered a fractured foot in late January, but the winger was able to resume skating last week and looks to be nearing a return. He could be cleared to take part in practices with the full team in the next few days.
