Coach Patrick Roy reiterated on Thursday night that he'd be "very surprised" if Matt Duchene was able to play during Colorado's first round series against Minnesota. Roy was asked after the Avalanche's 2-1 loss to the Wild if Duchene might be back on Saturday for Game 5 and he said that won't happen. Colorado could certainly use the offensive boost after two flat games on the road, where they struggled to post shots and scored only one goal. Duchene has been out of action since Mar. 29 with an MCL injury, but he has resumed skating.
