Coach Mike Babcock told reporters he expected to have Marner (upper body) in the lineup against the Sharks on Tuesday, Mark Masters of TSN reports.
EDGE Analysis
Marner has missed the Leafs' last five outings and technically remains on IR, but should be back in action barring a last minute setback. Prior to getting hurt, the youngster had racked up 21 points in 20 outings, including nine scored with the man advantage. The unheralded winger trails only Patrik Laine and teammate Auston Matthews for the rookie scoring title and could certainly be in contention for the Calder Trophy. Nikita Soshnikov figures to be the odd man out with Marner back in the lineup.
