Coach Lindy Ruff feels comfortable with playing Ray Whitney on the power play. "He is a real good special-teams player, and our power play obviously can use him," said Ruff. "Ray is going to be a big part of it. That really is his niche." Whitney is off to a slow start this season with two helpers in five games, but he earned a an assist on Cody Eakin's power-play marker in Tuesday's loss to Colorado.
