After Johnson missed the Bolts' previous two games, there was some optimism the center might be able to play Thursday after he was on the ice in full gear during the team's morning skate. Johnson was able to take part in line rushes and participated in penalty-kill drills, but the team determined that he needed more practice time to demonstrate that he's fully healthy. With Cooper skeptical of Johnson's chances of playing Saturday, the 26-year-old will aim to be ready for the Bolts' final two regular-season games next week.
