Coach Dave Tippett benched Mike Ribeiro on Friday after he took a misconduct for arguing with an official. Ribeiro was given the 10 minute misconduct at the 16:10 mark of the second period and never saw the ice again, save for him skating across the ice once his misconduct was over. "He's had a couple of situations like that where his emotions have got the better of him," Tippett said. "Those are things we continue to pound away that we've got to take out of our game." Ribeiro has 14 goals and 41 points in 60 games and his misdeeds on Friday jumped his penalty minute count to 44.
