Coach Dave Cameron acknowledged that Hoffman is still a big part of the Senators as a go-to winger, Ken Warren of the Ottawa Citizen reports.

Hoffman was benched just four games ago, and also skated on the fourth line the next outing. However, the winger has returned to his normal role with the top six as Cameron has forgiven the 26-year-old for his poor performance. Hoffman still only has one assist in his last seven appearances, but he has racked up six PIM in that span, a category the winger rarely impacts while on ice (34 minutes spent in the box during his career).
