Coach Dale Hunter didn't pull any punches in his tough assessment of Tomas Vokoun's performance in Wednesday's 5-2 loss to Ottawa. "They jumped on us. Tomas would like a few of them back," Hunter said following the defeat. "He wasn't as sharp as he should have been, and it's in the back of our net. We need some big stops early that's part of the game and tonight we played a good, solid road game and we lose. Goaltending is a big part of the game and we need good goaltending." Vokoun allowed four goals on just 11 shots before getting pulled in the second period. It was the second time in as many games that he received the hook.

good solid road game?

by giving up 3 break-a-ways? i admit vokoun wasnt great, but 2 of the goals were tipped, one was a break-a-way and one he was totally screened on

caps suck bottom line. dont blame the goalie when the entire team blows
