Pitlick scored the shootout-winner in Sunday's 3-2 shootout victory over the Islanders.
EDGE Analysis
Pitlick, who hasn't scored in regulation or overtime in four games, was the second shooter selected by interim head coach Marty St. Louis, and the counter-intuitive move worked. He deked Ilya Sorokin to the backhand, then quickly shifted to the forehand for the tally. It turned out to be the winning score, which gave Montreal its second consecutive win and first such winning streak of the season. Pitlick has been a nice story for the Canadiens, scoring seven points in 14 games with the Habs while scoring on 21.4 percent of his shots (three goals, 14 shots).
