Cleary signed a one-year deal with the Grand Rapids Griffins on Friday, Pete Wallner of MLive.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Cleary was brought back onto the Red Wings on a professional tryout agreement (PTO) last week but the organization has now chosen to send him to AHL. The 37-year-old played last year with the Griffins and tallied 15 points over 35 games. Now in his second consecutive year in hockey minors, it seems likely the 10-year Red Wings' veteran may be nearing an end to his NHL career.
