Clarke MacArthur has agreed to a two-year/$6.5 million contract extension with the Toronto Maple Leafs. MacArthur broke out last season with a 21-goal, 62-point campaign, but it remains to be seen if he can do that again. Prior to the 2010-11 season, he had never recorded more than 35 points in a single season. Leafs GM Brian Burke didn't want to sign him to a long-term contract because he's only had one good season, so the pressure will be on MacArthur to prove that his 2010-11 season wasn't a fluke.
