Chris Tanev's agent says the Vancouver Canucks extended a qualifying offer to his client Tuesday. Tuesday was the deadline for teams to qualify pending restricted free agents or lose them to UFA status. Tanev is only 23 years old, but remains more of a depth defenseman for Vancouver. He had two goals, seven points and a plus-4 rating in 38 games last season.
