Chris Tanev (thumb) doesn't appear close to returning to the Canucks lineup. Tanev hasn't played since Jan. 27 due to a broken thumb. "Tanev, I'm not sure where he's at. I don't think he's ready to practice with us even starting next week," Canucks coach John Tortorella said. He was projected to be out until at least the end of February, and that seems accurate right now. The defenseman has 14 points in 54 games this season.
