Chris Kreider was benched during the third period of Saturday's 3-2 loss to the Capitals. Kreider was on the ice and partially responsible for Washington's first two goals and as a result had only 7:34 of ice time in the game. Rookies tend to be inconsistent. Don't forget that at the draft table next season when considering the selection of Kreider.
