Charlie Coyle picked up an assist and seven penalty minutes in Minnesota's shootout win over Toronto on Wednesday night. His takeaway on a pass from Phil Kessel helped set up the game-tying goal by Zach Parise late in the third period. Coyle was also a combatant, in an unlikely fight pairing, with Toronto's Joffrey Lupul. Coach Mike Yeo described Wednesday's performance as a "building block" game for Coyle. "We're going to have patience with him," said the Wild bench boss. "He's shown already what an impact he can have in our lineup, how effective he can be. At the same time, we also know he's not on top of his game." The 21-year-old forward has three points in seven games this year.
