Center Matt Duchene has solidified himself as the Avalanche's top offensive player and a likely member of the 2014 Canadian Olympic team. Duchene, who has amassed 10 points in his last five games, leads the Avs with 16 goals, 15 assists and 31 points. He has produced multi-point games in four of his last five, including twice when Team Canada general manager Steve Yzerman scouted him during the recent home-and-away series with the Dallas Stars. At 22, Duchene not only is excelling on offense but defensively, too. You'd be hard-pressed to argue that Duchene has not emerged as one of the NHL's top 10 players.
