Carle (undisclosed) is not on the bench for the beginning of the second period of Wednesday's Game 3 after taking a hard hit in the first period, Joe McDonald of ESPN.com reports. Carle played just 1:36 in the first period before colliding with New York's Derek Stepan, which knocked him out of the game. It's unclear at this point if Carle will be able to return to Wednesday's game.
