Carl Soderberg spent the summer losing weight and it is showing in training camp. The Boston Bruins finally brought Soderberg over from Sweden at the end of the 2013 regular season after drafting him in the second round of the 2004 Draft. The 27-year-old has outstanding talent but was easy to take off the puck in his NHL debut. But that has all changed as Soderberg lost 10 pounds in the off-season and is stronger. "He's looking good. He's lost weight, but he's gained some muscle," said coach Claude Julien. "He was already a strong player to start with, but when we've seen him in those battle drills he's been really strong on the puck. We like that about him." Soderberg is likely to start the season on the third line with Chris Kelly. Look for around 15 goals and 30 points unless he gets a lot of playing time on the top two lines in which case his numbers will improve.
