Quick was beaten by the usual suspects for the Oilers, as Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl scored two of the three goals against him, and McDavid assisted on the other. The veteran goaltender lucked out with the game tied at three in the second, as he benefited from a challenge for goalie interference to wipe out what would have been McDavid's second goal of the night. McDavid got the last laugh, though, as both he and Draisaitl converted against Quick again in the shootout to seal the victory for Edmonton and drop Quick's record to 17-12-9.
