Cam Barker is expected to be in the Edmonton lineup Friday. Barker has played the last three games since returning from an ankle injury but has struggled at times. "He had one situation with the puck that he'd like to have back, but I thought he was better at his gaps," said Oilers associated coach Ralph Krueger, in referring to a bad giveaway Wednesday. "I think he can build on that game. We need to be patient with him. We didn't think he'd be playing for another two or three weeks. Look at Ryan Whitney's recovery time from his ankle."
