Cam Barker has signed on with the Texas Stars of the AHL. Barker played last season in a limited role for the Edmonton Oilers but the Oilers did not give him a qualifying offer, allowing him to become an unrestricted free agent. The third overall pick in the 2004 Entry Draft after Alex Ovechkin and Evgeni Malkin has been a major disappointment throughout his NHL career and will now try to get it back together in the minors. The defenseman had two goals in only 25 games last season.
