With both Elvis Merzlikins and Joonas Korpisalo under the weather, Tarasov may be pressed into action versus the Stars on Thursday. At a minimum, the 22-year-old Tarasov is expected to serve as the backup against Dallas. In the minors, Tarasov is 5-2-2 with a 2.96 GAA and would be making his NHL debut if he gets the start.
