Calgary Flames coach Brad Treliving disputed a recent report that he offered two picks and players Jiri Hudler, Mikael Backlund and Dennis Wideman for Ottawa's Jason Spezza. "It's categorically false," Treliving said. "I haven't made any such offers. That's 100% fantasy island. I saw it early Sunday online and had to read it a couple times and had to remind myself 'oh ya I'm the Flames GM. Interesting.'" It seems moot either way as Spezza reportedly included Calgary on the list of teams he wouldn't accept a trade to.
