Jones allowed two goals on 45 shots in Wednesday's 2-1 overtime loss to Florida.
EDGE Analysis
Jones was under siege all night but did all he could to make a 1-0 first-period lead stand up. The Panthers finally solved him on the power play early in the third, and Florida struck again in overtime to drop Jones' record to 3-2-1. Philadelphia needs to tighten up its defense in front of the backup netminder, as Jones has faced at least 40 shots in three of his six starts, but he's acquitting himself admirably in the reduced role after struggling as the starter in San Jose in recent years.
