Brown (leg) skated as an extra on the fourth line during Wednesday's practice, Kevin Kurz of CSN Bay Area reports. Coach Todd McLellan said that Brown wouldn't be ready to play Wednesday against the Avalanche, but with another practice, the winger might be cleared to return over the weekend. Brown has been sidelined since Dec. 9 with a broken fibula.
