Brown has been released from his tryout by the Blue Jackets on Monday, James Mirtle of the Globe and Mail reports.

Brown made 58 appearances last season for the Sharks and Canadiens, but was only able to tally five points while averaging a meager 7:13 in ice time per game. In terms of fantasy, the winger's best contribution comes in the form of PIM after he spent 90 minutes in the Sin Bin, which gives him bottom-end value and should keep him off the radar of most owners.
