Brouwer finished the 2016-17 campaign with only 13 goals and 25 points.
EDGE Analysis
The 31-year-old regressed in his debut in Alberta, as his goal, assist and point totals were all his lowest since his rookie season in 2008-09 with Chicago. Brouwer wasn't able to hold down the plum role on the team's top line next to studs Sean Monahan and Johnny Gaudreau as many forecasted he would, but instead spent most of the year in the bottom six while averaging his lowest amount of ice time (16:13) since 2010-11. It's also worth mentioning that his 86 shots on goal were a career low, so his fantasy outlook heading into 2017-18 remains murky at best.
