The Avalanche don't play until Thursday, and it's not clear what their plans are for the 20-year-old during this call-up. Newhook skated 10:30 in his season debut with the Avs, going scoreless against Chicago on Oct. 13. He's been impressive at the AHL level, though, rattling off 11 points in 10 games this year.
