Brett Sutter has signed a one-year, two-way contract with the Carolina Hurricanes. Sutter will earn $75,000 in the AHL and $525,000 if he spends the season in the NHL. However, he will make a minimum of $105,000 in 2010-11, even if he spends the entire season in the minors. "Brett performed well for the Checkers last season, especially in the playoffs," said the Hurricanes Director of Hockey Operations, Ron Francis. "He will have an opportunity to compete for time on NHL level this season."
