Brett Connolly has agreed to a one-year, two-way deal with the Tampa Bay Lightning. Connolly excelled in the minors last season with 21 goals and 57 points in 66 games. He only logged 11 contests with Tampa Bay though and averaged 12:01 minutes in those games. He's had a hard time living up to the strong start he had to his career, but he's still young and has plenty of upside. This deal offers him a chance to prove that and potentially get a more lucrative contract next summer.
