Brent Seabrook will have a phone hearing with the NHL for his hit on David Backes in the third period of Game 2 of the first-round series. No time has been set for the hearing just yet. The Blackhawks defenseman nailed Backes, who did not have the puck and was in a vulnerable position, with a hit to the head late in the third period of Saturday's game. Seabrook was given five minutes for charging and game misconduct, while a dazed Backes left the game and did not return. The Blues would tie it up with 6.4 seconds left in the regulation and win Game 2 in overtime.
