Brendan Smith (shoulder) has been placed on injured reserve. He logged just over 15 minutes of ice time and picked up 11 penalty minutes in Saturday's 5-0 win over Edmonton. Smith has one assist and a minus-7 rating in 11 games this season, but he still has potential to be a good all-around defender.
