Brendan Mikkelson has signed a one-year, two-way deal with the Pittsburgh Penguins. Mikkelson became an unrestricted free agent after the Tampa Bay Lightning declined to give him a qualifying offer. He'll earn $550,000 if he spends the season in the NHL.
