Boedker was traded from the Coyotes to the Avalanche on Monday in exchange for Alex Tanguay, Conner Bleackley and Kyle Wood, Renaud LAvoie of TVA Sports reports.
EDGE Analysis
Boedker provides the Coyotes with some short-term improvement among the forward ranks, having amaassed 39 points (13 goals) and 144 shots on goal over 62 contests this season. The move likely won't have a large impact on the landscape of the team, and it wouldn't be surprising if he slots in for Tanguay on the second line, but that should be revealed when he joins the team at practice. His first chance to play with the new club comes Tuesday against the Wild, but that's only if he makes it to Minnesota in time to do so.
