Boedker scored his first goal as a member of the Sharks in Saturday's 3-2 win over the Blue Jackets.
EDGE Analysis
The former Coyote only played 13:37 in this one, but made the most of his ice time by lighting the lamp midway through the first period. Boedker, the eighth overall pick in 2008, has been remarkably consistent over the four seasons, scoring at a clip of 0.61 points per game (156 points in 255 contests). Because of that production, he was regarded as one of the biggest fantasy breakout candidates this offseason given his change of scenery from Arizona (and a brief stop in Colorado) to Northern California. While the goal is a nice start, Boedker will likely need to play more than 13-14 minutes per night if he hopes to best his career high of 51 points.
