Bobby Butler was placed on waivers by New Jersey Sunday. He isn't expected to play Monday but he may not head down to the minors right away if he clears. Devils GM Lou Lamoriello said the move was made to give the team more roster flexibility. Butler has generated one goal and one assist in 14 games since being called up on Feb. 2.
