Bobby Butler skated with Craig Smith and Martin Erat at Wednesday's practice. The Predators claimed Butler off waivers from New Jersey on Monday. Coach Barry Trotz is hoping that Butler and fellow waiver pickup Zach Boychuk can bring some competition to the club and help get everybody going.
