Bobby Butler has been placed on waivers. The Ottawa Senators will have the option to buy Butler out if he successfully clears waivers on Saturday. Butler is currently scheduled to make $1.2 million in 2012-13, although his cap hit would be $1.05 million if his contract isn't bought out. He had six goals and 16 points in 56 games last season.
