Blues GM Doug Armstrong is traveling to Toronto in advance of his scheduled salary arbitration hearing with T.J. Oshie on Friday. "We're going to Toronto to work with our counsel on preparing for the case," Armstrong said. It's unfortunate because the Blues are roughly $5 million below the salary floor, so you'd think that finding common ground between them and Oshie would be possible. The two sides have been talking about a four-to-six year contract extension, but so far they haven't been able to bridge the gap between what the Blues feel he should make and what Oshie is asking for.
