The 25-year-old's first start for the Maple Leafs couldn't have gone any better. Kallgren's AHL numbers this season don't suggest he's the NHL's next elite netminder, and shooters could put together a book on him quickly, but at least in the short term he's putting significant pressure on Petr Mrazek at the top of the Toronto depth chart.
